Underwater Scene in a Pop-up Box Card

Hi Everyone! It's Cathy here sharing a fun box card today! When I first saw the new A Whale of a Time stamp set, I knew it would be perfect for a dimensional scene like this.

I created the box by cutting and scoring 2 pieces of cardstock and adhering them together. If you're familiar with the various box card dies out there, it's designed the same way. I wanted a bit more room in this for the larger whale to fit inside, so I created my own that folds flat to a 5x7 card size.

The whales and fish inside are floating along with the help of thin acetate strips that I adhered to the die-cut waves above them and the starfish and water spout above the waves are also suspended with acetate.

I've also used several stamps from the other summer releases. The coral is from the Big Bite stamp set, the cute little fish are from the Deeply stamp set and the seaweed way in the back is from the Oh Manatee stamp set. I love how they all work so well together!

I've added some papers from my stash to decorate the flaps, sides and back of the box and left plenty of space on the back to write a little message to the recipient.

I had SO much fun making this!

Hope you have a great week and see you again soon!
