Can you find the Ghosts? + Video

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today with Gerda Steiner Design’s stamp set named, Ghosts. I've had this idea in my head for almost a year, specifically with this set, but by the time I got around to it, it was past Halloween. I made sure to create it this year.

This is actually a really easy card to make and it's super fun, especially for kids. I stamped a template version of my scene so I knew exactly what I wanted my final card to look like. Once I had the template, I stamped the scene using my Misti with Stazon ink on a piece of 4.25 x 5.5 acetate.

For my frame, I have a piece of black cardstock that measures at 6 x 4.5 inches. It's scored at a quarter of an inch on three sides. I will trim the two squares that are formed at the corner of the black cardstock so I can easily fold down the flaps.

I colored my scene on acetate using copic markers. You can use sharpies if you have them. I had them but they didn't have the colors I wanted. If you are using copic markers, you'll have a bit of sticky residue from the alcohol marks. I used an anti static embossing bag to get rid of the stickiness. If you have baby powder, that works too. Once my scene is colored, I went ahead and inserted my panel into the little pocket of the black cardstock and adhered the three sides to the front of the card panel.

On a separate piece of paper, I had drew a flashlight and colored it in. When you insert the flashlight into the panel between the acetate and the black cardstock, it looks like the flashlight is shining on the scene you created! Isn't that so fun!?

I also have a video showing my process here.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!
