I started cardmaking in 2015
December 06, 2021
I’ve been stamping and cardmaking for over 25 years.
I am a relative newcomer to the hobby. Going on 3 years but you would think a lot longer by the amount of “crafty goodness” that I have already accumulated, lol. This is a great hobby with wonderful crafters.
I attended a Stampin’ Up! party during the Summer of 1996, hosted a party, became a demonstrator and a year later opened a stamp store with a dear friend. Stamping has been a part of my life ever since.
I have been stamping/card making on and off for more than a decade. OI love the adorable snow persons on the mug! Thank you for the chance to win
Such a cute coffee mug. I have been creating memory book pages and cards for over 20 years now. Love experimenting and creating things with different mediums.
Gerda I’ve been carding for about 6 years I think. Sure get s lot of joy out of your designs.
I’ve been making cards for over 20 years!
I started making cards about 13 years ago.
OMG!!! Gerda, this mug is so perfect!! I’ve been card making since December 2016, 5 years now!!
OMG! What an adorable mug! Thank you so much for this chance at winning one! I began cardmaking 6 years ago when I was unable to find a decent 18th birthday card for my nephew at my favorite Hallmark store (I was a VERY loyal Hallmark customer up until then and had dreams of owning a Hallmark store one day! 😂) And I have been addicted to cardmaking ever since!
I’ve been creating cards for about 5 years. A girlfriend tried to get me into scrapbooking but I did not really got hooked. But looking for inspiration, I discovered the cardmaking community and it has been love at first sight !
About a year:)
about to 10 years
I’ve been making cards for about 12 years. Thanks for the exciting giveaway – I would be thrilled to have a personalized Gerda Steiner snowman mug! Also thank you for the advent calendar – it’s fun to have something to look forward to each day! Happy Holidays!
I have been cardmaking on a regular basis since 2012, but I started papercrafting with everything for our wedding in 2005… my first Gerda image to color was the year you offered the super cute little teddy bear with the boxes of presents! So cute!
OMG! What a cute mug!
I cannot believe I’ve been making cards for about 18 years now! I went to a paper and stamp store with my friend, made a birthday card for my mother at their “make and take” and I was hooked. My house could have been paid for YEARS ago if I hadn’t gotten into the hobby, but I would not have had so much fun. Card making is a great stress reliever and diversion from my stressful job. It really is great therapy!
Thank you for the chance to win your adorable mug, but mostly for your cheerful and playful designs.
I’ve been addicted to coffee and Cardmaking for 9 years now! I started making cards as a form of therapy from a high stress job. It still helps me be centered and happy. Coffee keeps me sane and my hubby safe lol andI love that adorable mug!
I have been making cards for about 30 years. Love that there are more stamps and supplies available now.
I have been card making for about 6 years now, but have been a crafter for most of my life.
I am in card making since 5 or 6 years, and love it ! I even sell some to friends too. A way to escape and relax after a big day or week at work. 🥰
I started making cards in 2015. Since I’ve always sent out Christmas cards, the first year I only made 25 or 30. The next year I made them all. Usually mailing 75 – 80.
It’s thrilling to make one-of-a-kind cards for loved ones throughout the year. Sometimes I send out Easter and Halloween cards. In any case, I always make those holiday cards for our two Grandchildren.
OMG! This mug ist soooo cute.
I love your snowmen so much. I’ve already collected many snowmen-stamps.
(And of course also many of your other cute stamps)
I’m crafting during my whole life with many different techniques.
I love it to create things that make others smile.
I started with cardmaking about two years ago.
That’s a cool mug!. I’ve been cardmaking since the 80’s you do the maths..I’m too old ;-)
Ive been making cards all my life but seriously stamping and creating for 5 years now
I’ve been into card making since grade school. I’ve been into making them with stamps since the early 1990’s.
I’ve always enjoyed crafting, but I’ve really been making cards since 2013. What a difference between my first cards and the ones I make now ! Thanks so much for this lovely idea of advent calendar and for the chance to win !

I have been making
cards for 35 years!
Carla from Arizona
I love today’s penguin on the advent calendar! Well, I’ve been making cards with rubber stamps for over 20 years, but I’ve made cards from my hand-cut linoleum prints for a long time before that.
It’s been about around 6 years, but I make a lot more cards in the past 3 years.
I have been making cards since 2004. A girl where I worked would have card making parties in the conference room after work. I was hooked.
I’ve been card making for about 15 years and looking at my stash purchased over that time, I’ll never use it all :)
Hello! I hace been cards for 2 years. I enjoy so much your Advent calendar. Thank you
I have been making cards for about 7 years. Love it
I’ve been crafting for over 20yrs now.
I have been making cards for about 4-5 years now. Most of the time they turn out well, but every now and then one just never looks right. A toddler could have made it better! :} That’s crafting for you…a fail just makes you go back to the drawing board. Thanks for this Advent Calendar and all the wonderful stamps you design!
Thank you for all the fun of the advent calendar. I’ve been cardmaking probably since the mid 1990’s and enjoying creating cards in so many ways and mediums. I’m always trying new ideas!
I’ve been creating scrapbooks for my children and now grandchildren. I started making cards back in 2006. Each year i get better and the resources out there are fantastic. I made the pop up box using the snowman on the mug. Lovely stamp set, one I cherish. Thank you.
I’ve been making cards for about2 years. My daughter got me started and I love ir.t. I love them to the point that I hate parting with them. I’ve started taking pictures and keeping a journal.
I’ve been making cards well over 15 years, I love it, but I haven’t been at it in quite a while. So I’m trying to get back to it.
I started card making about 20 years ago and I still love it as much today as I did back then.
I’ve been making cards on and off for 10 years. Now that I’m retired I hope to be more consistant. :)
Oh my This is really going to make me feel old but I’ve been using rubber stamps for at least 35 years on my envelopes. Didn’t start card making in earnest ‘til my favorite cross-stitch shop closed about 20 years ago. I guess once you’re crafty you’re always crafty.
I have been card making for around 22 years. I absolutely love it.
I’ve been making cards for 22 years – I started when my son was born – making thank you cards for the gifts we were given. This advent calendar is so much fun and makes me come back every day to see what the next treat you have for us is
I started in elementary school, over 40 years ago. I started drawing, coloring, and stamping and never looked back. Back then, well before the internet, it was hard to find supplies and variety was very limited.
I have been “stamping” for over 40 years!!! That shocks me to see that in print. All started with a little Hero Arts stamp that I bought from a Hallmark store. The rest is history….😉
Maybe around 12 years.
My card stamping started about 20 years ago when I bought a little 1”x1” strawberry stamp to embellish the envelopes of store bought cards. Little did I know what that little stamp started!
I have been card making since early 2000. Started with scrapbooking and they moved over to card making. You have the cutest designs, thanks for sharing and a chance to win.
I’ve been cardmaking since I could hold a pencil! So nearly 30 years now! :)
Hi, dear Gerda!
Thank you for such a lovely and fun Advent Calendar with so many gifts and for this question. It was so nice to look back on this 2nd Advent Sunday. Thank you so much for that!
Next year it will be already 10 years since I bought my first stamp and I had no clue that ONE tiny rubber stamp would lead me to this wonderful crafty world of cardmaking. ❤️
It’s five years since I opened my crafty blog and also post my first card on Instagram. And it’s also five years since I won an early Saint Nicolas present at your Advent Calendar with those snowmans. My first stamp of yours and your handmade card. So precious and I can’t believe where did the time fly by. ❤️ Wish you a wonderful and happy Advent and December time! Thank you for this amazing opportunity to win such a happy and warm mug! 🎄🎀
At my last job before I semi retired I would make a card and an ornament for Christmas for each of my staff and then also for my favorite. That went on for 19 years and was the extent of most of my cardmaking. When I left that job 5 years ago, I continued with the annual Christmas card, but got involved with a group at church who inspired me to expand my horizons and make cards for all occasions. I now make cards for friends and family, for my church to help raise funds for mission work and for a local assisted living facility that I “adopted” during the pandemic for whom I make cards now year round for all the holidays.
What an adorable mug. Thanks for the chance to win it today. As far as card making goes, it is actually 10 years this year when I started. I became disabled almost 20 years ago. It affected my mobility and caused a great deal of pain—still does to this day. I went to a dark place for a number of years and finally needed to find something to make me feel useful again. One of my sister in law’s had been making handmade cards for a few years and she inspired me to try my hand at it. In 2011 I started making cards and then in 2012 found an online community I could belong to. I’ve been part of that community ever since and have made so many wonderful connections as a result!
I’ve been card making since 2004 but I’ve been crafting with paper and other mediums for over 70 years. I love sending snail mail to friends and relatives – so much better than an e-mail.
Cardmaking since 1998… Time flies when you are having fun!!!
Took a class which intro’d me to stamping probably 1998ish. Joined a stamp club. Loved it so much opened my own stamp store 2003. Closed store 2010 and have been on various DT’s and teach classes to this day. Retirement has given me the opportunity to do more stamping etc. Love learning new designs and sharing with others.
I have been making scrapbooks and card making since 1998. When I say that it makes me realize that I have been doing it that long. I have seen so many changes and I’m forever grateful for this kind of hobby.
I’ve been making cards since 2002. Wow…I didn’t realize it has been so long.
Those snowmen are adorable! I’ve been cardmaking for about 15 years; crafting for much longer :-)
As long as i remember i have been making cards.
When i was a child i made cards with my mum and my grandmother, and ever since i’ve made my own cards.
Bought my first diecutting maschine about 5-6 years ago and it did make it a lot easier and more fun to make cards🎄
I made the leap from scrapbooking to card making in 2012. I didn’t think the transition would be a big one…..I was going to use my scrapbooking tools and scraps -— and just one all-purpose set of stamps. I still love to scrap, but I have a couple of shelves full of stamps and 6×6 paper I never expected to buy! I am so glad I gave card making a try because I love it!
Hi. I’ve been cardmaking for about 30 years now!
I have been crafting for 20 years, card making for 10 years. I love your images and this mug is soooo cute!!!
I’ve been crafting for 6 years :)
What an adorable mug!! I’ve been making cards for about 15 years and never see myself stopping.

What adorable mug! Thanks for this chance to win!
I have been making cards for 8 years
This mug is adorable! I have been cardmaking since High School! 20+ years… it’s come a LONG way! I used to buy my stamps at Hallmark and color with Crayola!
I have been making cards (and other paper goodies) for over 25 years! Wow! Am I that old?! I started when I was pregnant with my first child and wanted to make my own thank you cards for her presents.
Thank you for the opportunity.
Wow! Good question …. maybe 20 years ago? It started as a my therapy – a way for me to forget about work and family – after I had put the kiddies all to bed, First it was stamping and then moved on to making interactive cards … Fell in love with Gerda’s stamps wow .. in 2011? so many ideas and so little time!
I was always a (paper) crafter, but I started cardmaking/ stamping around 2000; back then there weren’t a lot of rubber stamp companies to choose from and cardmaking was not a widespread hobby. We‘ve come a long way….😀 and it‘s contagious – I infected my sister😜. Thanks for the chance to win the cute mug!
Super cute mug ❤ I’ve been making cards since around 1997 or 98…
I’d say about 48 years! I’ve been buying rubber stamps since I was 10 years old! I still have mostly all of my stamps, too! Just can’t bear to part with them! ❤️
Thanks for the giveaway! I think I started within the pandemic.
LOVE the mug! Very fun!
I started card making in 1986, so 35 years ago! I went to a stamping demo at a local Hallmark store and thought it looked like something fun to do!
Omg this mug is so cute. I began cardmaking about 3 years ago, I had to stop for a while due a car accident and now I’m back coloring and cardmaking :) Oh and I hate coffee but I love tea ;)
I knew and started making cards about 5 years ago.
I have not lot of free time, having an active personal life, and being a doctor. As soon as i can do it or on the occasion of an event, I create a card and I love it. The tampons from Gerdna are one of my favorites because they are so adorable and so cute. So kawaii! I revealed part of me, which I never do.
Thanks so much to you. Nicole
Merci beaucoup. Nicole.)
I started with scrapbooking and moved to cards in 2004-ish when the owner of a store fell and broke her hip. She would design the cards and I taught the class for her. Then eventually I started designing cards and having classes. Now I just sell to friends and couple places locally. Hopefully can do more when I retire in 1-2 years. Thanks for all fun with the Advent Calendar.
Hello this mug is so cute! I have been card making for about 15 years now, totally addicted!
Hello and Happy Holidays! It’s almost Christmas and I’m enjoying this calendar.
I’ve been crafting for 5 years and totally enjoy it!
Hello and happy Sunday!
I started doing papercrafts in Fall of 2017. At that time I felt more and more burned out and doing something with my hands helped me relax. I always loved writing letters and cards, so card making was the perfect match for me. I looked online for inspiration and fell in love with stamping. Since then I built up a nice collection of stamps and dies and spend many hours a week with this wonderful hobby.
Dank dir für diesen schönen Adventskalender! Und herzliche Grüße ❤️🎨🖍️💌
I have been making cards for around 10 years.. Scrapbooking much longer than that. Thank you for the chance to win such an amazing mug!
I’m newish, about 3 years now. Thanks for the chance to win the adorable mug.
I started scrapbooking in 2010 but really got into cardmaking 2014 – so 7 years now. No looking back!, ;)
I started with scrapbooking about 25 years ago but became frustrated with the space I needed and never getting as many pages done as I wanted. So I moved to card-making because surely I could get ONE CARD made and sent while the 3 of them were napping! Right!?
I started about 20 years ago when my daughter was in high school.
I’ve been scrapbooking for about 25 years & cardmaking for about 20! Love your designs ! Adorable!
I have been card making for about 25 years, but into other types of crafts for about 35+ years.
I started crafting around the age of 21 when my Mom taught me how to cross stitch. Thanks for
all the fun giveaways and free digis! Merry Christmas to you & yours.
I have been stamping for 35 years and love it. (I think I own all your stamps)
One if my traditions is to buy myself a new Christmas mug every year.
I’ve been crafting now for 2 years and cardmaking for about a year. It’s such an awesome community and I am happy to be a part of it! Thank you for doing this advent calendar!
I have been papercrafting for well over 25 years. Started with scrapbooking then included stamping over the years.
How sweet!!! I’ve been crafting for as long as I can remember, but officially as a grown up since 2001 when I started scrapbooking. 💕 This would be such fun to win.
