Non Traditional Use Of Fall Stamp Sets

November 14, 2016

Hello everyone!

I'm Diana from Moments of Creativity and I have the huge honor of being a Guest Designer for this super talented team for the next couple of weeks.
I came across Gerda Steiner Designs stamps a year ago and immediately fell in love with them, so I was really happy when Gerda asked me if I wanted to do a guest spot.

Today I want to share with you 2 very wintery cards featuring the adorable "Cheerful Hedgehog" and "Fall Mice" stamp sets. You won't believe, but these stamp sets are so versatile that you can easily use them for your Christmas cards.

So, let's start ...

For my first card I chose 2 little cuties and asked them to trim a Christmas tree:)

I started off by creating ink blended sky with setting sun. After this I used texture paste and added some stars and falling snow to create a perfect winter scene.

While the background was drying, I stamped the hedgehogs onto a piece of paper and colored them with my Copics. Then I die cut the rest of the elements and colored some of them with Distress Inks.
The only thing which was left was to put all pieces together. Once it was done, a huge part of the work was finished.

Except for some last touches:)

The first and the main one was to draw a string of lights my hedgehogs are going to trim a Christmas tree with - checked;
Second - to draw some shadow under everything and everyone who is staying in the snow - checked;
And last but not least - to add some Wink of Stella to stars, street lamp light and snow - checked.
And that's how the first car was created. Easy peasy, isn't it?:)

Well, the second card was done by following the same steps, except this time I went for heat embossing instead of applying texture paste and replacing one hedgehog with a mouse.

I guess these are all tricks I was planning on sharing with you this time;)

I hope you liked my little inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by! See you next time!

Yours, Diana
